Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Axel – a passionate Software Engineer from Northern Germany.
Since 2017, I have been building modern software systems that are not only scalable and reliable, but also thoughtfully designed and maintainable over time.

What drives me is a deep passion for technology, architecture, and craftsmanship. I believe great software is not just about solving problems — it’s about creating solutions that are clean, resilient, and built to last.

Throughout my career, I have worked in different roles across software development:

  • As a Fullstack Developer, I learned to balance backend logic with user experience.
  • As a DevOps Engineer, I discovered the beauty of automation, observability and cloud infrastructure.
  • As a Software Engineer, I now specialize in backend systems, microservices, cloud-native architectures and domain-driven design.

I enjoy working with technologies like Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Quarkus, Python, Vue.js, Flutter, Docker, and Kubernetes.
But even more than specific tools, I value good architecture, clear thinking, and continuous learning.

Outside of work, I love building side projects that allow me to explore new ideas — whether it’s automating deployments, designing apps, or experimenting with AI technologies.
These projects not only sharpen my technical skills but also fuel my creativity and passion for innovation.

When I’m not coding, you’ll probably find me spending time with my wife and dog, working on DIY projects, or traveling — especially to Japan, a country and culture that inspires me deeply.
